Byron Yu
Assistant Property Manager
Byron Yu is an Assistant Property Manager at Luminor Real Estate, where he coordinates maintenance and vendors, communicates with tenants and clients, and helps keep daily property operations running smoothly. He prioritizes prompt, clear communication so clients remain informed and confident that their properties are in capable hands.
Byron’s interest in real estate began with his parents’ rental duplex in Vancouver, which helped pay for his and his brother’s college educations. Seeing how real estate created opportunities for his family inspired him to pursue the industry himself. He is a licensed California real estate salesperson and received an award from the San Francisco Apartment Association in 2025.
Before entering real estate, Byron graduated with a history degree and began his career managing an Amazon warehouse during the pandemic. At 22, he supervised more than 30 experienced employees while working demanding overnight shifts. That experience taught him to remain composed under pressure, manage competing priorities, and earn the trust of his team.
Outside of work, Byron enjoys weightlifting in the garage gym he built with his father, cooking for his family, and playing classic PC games. His ideal San Francisco day includes coffee, a workout, lunch at a Mission District taqueria, a walk through Dolores Park, and an evening enjoying good food and entertainment around the city.
At home, Byron is the loyal servant of “King Pablo,” his 11-year-old Jack Russell–Chihuahua mix and undisputed lord of the couch. His guiding philosophy is to “do the scary thing, and do your best,” believing that stepping outside his comfort zone has led to some of the most rewarding experiences in his life and career.
Byron speaks English and conversational Mandarin. He is a licensed California real estate salesperson (DRE #02443831).
